I was walking along a stone path.

With every step I took,
I let a small stone fall

from one hand
into the other.

Lying down,
I imagine that I am sitting.

Sitting,
I imagine that I am standing.

I imagine that I am lying down.

String

I walked a forest path.
I picked up small objects, one by one:
a twig; a leaf; a pebble.

And as I moved on,
I put it back down,
and picked up others.

4K-video, with sound.

Together with art historian and writer Stefan Wouters, graphic designer Renate Boere, and the publishing house, Jap Sam Books, I am working on a new book about my work over the past fifteen years, entitled: Performing, the works of Frans van Lent. From 12 September till 7 November you are very welcome to visit the #10 Anniversary Show in Studio Seine, Rotterdam. As part of this group exhibition I will be showing the video sculpture Tube (1998-2023).
