Someplace Else is a durational walk for two performers in two different places. Adrian Wood and Frans Van Lent took a walk in their respective cities – Chicago, IL and Rotterdam, the Netherlands – and took turns calling each other to report on their surroundings. While one reports what they/he sees, hears and smells from a standstill in their location, the other walks and listens. They trade off, creating a rhythm of phone calls that punctuate the durational 90 minute sound walk performance.

The phone call was broadcast on internet livestream (Radio Worm) as well as terrestrial radio in Chicago. Listeners could access part or all of the performance by tuning their radio to the broadcast frequency, or by streaming it online. The performance was on September 23, Chicago local time from 12:00 to 1:30 pm, Rotterdam local time from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

At the same time, through a phone call, A describes what they observe as they make an equal movement at the intersection of two main roads in Chicago during the morning rush hour.
